Waypoint Vets, Warrior Project, and VFW Post 9851 are teaming up to take a group of Nashville, TN area OIF / OEF / Desert Storm Combat Veterans to Marseilles, IL to visit the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial. The costs are covered, Brothers & Sisters, and this trip is EXCLUSIVELY for OIF, OEF, and Desert Storm Combat Veterans ONLY. Our friend’s names are etched into these walls…

Space is VERY limited… Please fill out the signup form while spots remain.

FRIDAY, AUG 12th @ 0700: Meet at the Hendersonville VFW Post 9851. They will provide a delicious hot breakfast, then we will set out for Illinois in (2) spacious 15 Passenger Vans. It is an 8 hour drive with stops. Your POV’s are safe at the VFW and we will return there on Sunday. We’ll arrive at roughly 1800 and get checked into our hotel: Holiday Inn & Suites in Ottawa, IL.

SATURDAY, AUG 13th: Experiencing the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial. After a hot breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Wall. We will take our time while there. It will be a POWERFUL experience because as combat veterans of the Iraq, Afghanistan and Desert Storm wars, the names of your Brothers and Sisters are etched into these walls. The Memorial provides etching paper and pencils to memorialize their names. Afterward, we’ll make a trip to Starved Rock State Park, a beautiful cave / waterfall location nearby for some time in nature.

SUNDAY, AUG 14th: We’ll enjoy another hot breakfast at the Holiday Inn, then hit the road back for Hendersonville VFW. Estimated arrival is 1800.
